Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards which included an Oscar for her film Piano. Her career in acting started on Broadway by performing in a range of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. Since her childhood she's been passionate in the field of acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. In the fifth grade, due to mumps, she lost hearing in the left ear. She did not let that stop her. When she was a teenager, she took classes in drama at college before moving to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could achieve her goals. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. After that, she moved from New York to Los Angeles and tried to get film parts. In Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. Over the past three decades, since her time in Los Angeles Holly Hunter has been in many films, TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
